This story seems to have taken root in Aronofsky’s psyche, along with all his other obsessions — the horror of being trapped in a female body under the thumb of domineering men, the duality of light and darkness, the explosive relationship between mankind and the planet, and the mystical, cyclical nature of being. He dredged it all up and plunged it into his latest movie’s bleeding heart: Mother! is a mad fantasia of fire and water and insanity, a spinning, flaming plume that is not here to make you like it, though it wouldn’t mind if you decided to just bow down in worship.

She follows the trails which highlights a hidden door in the wall, and opens the door to discover nothing but a cellar to an oil tank for the furnace. She then covers the blood stained floor with a rug. Upon returning, Him informs Mother that the son has died. Dozens of people begin arriving at the house for a wake for the dead son. More people arrive, and behave in an increasingly rude way that bothers Mother; she becomes angrier when people start to harass her and do things to the home and eventually snaps when they cause a pipe to burst and floods the house. She kicks everyone out. Angry with Him for allowing so many people into the house for his own pleasure and ignoring her, she berates him before the two have sex.
The next morning, Mother announces that she is pregnant. The news leaves Him elated and inspires him to finish his work. Mother prepares for the arrival of their child and reads Him’s newest piece, which is so beautiful it drives her to tears. Upon publication, it immediately sells out every copy. In celebration, Mother prepares dinner for him when a group of fans arrives at the house. As she barricades herself in her home, more fans arrive and begin to enter the house to use the bathroom. Their behavior devolves into stealing their belongings as keepsakes and disrupting the environment. An increasingly disoriented Mother makes her way around the house as each room devolves further into chaos. Him’s publisher, the Herald, takes part in the madness. Military men with guns arrive to help Mother, but a cult of devoted fans forms around Him; they start to engage in rituals and violent slaughterings.
Mother goes into labor and finds her husband, who takes her to his study, where she gives birth. The havoc outside subsides as Him tells Mother that the massive crowd wants to see the baby. Refusing, she holds on tight to her son as Him continually stares at her. When she finally falls asleep, however, he takes the baby outside to the crowd, who grab him and pass him along via crowd surf and break his neck. Devastated, Mother makes her way to the front of the crowd where she sees the hacked corpse of her baby and witnesses the crowd eating his flesh. Furious at them, she calls them murderers and begins stabbing them with a shard of broken glass. They turn on her, viciously beating and stripping her until Him intervenes; he implores she must forgive them. Mother escapes the grasp of the crowd and makes her way to the furnace’s oil tank in the cellar, which she had discovered earlier. Despite her husband’s pleas, Mother sets the oil on fire, killing the crowd and destroying the house and the surrounding garden and trees.
Both Mother and Him survive, but Mother is horrifically burned while Him is completely unscathed. He asks her for the love she has left for him, and she agrees to give it to him. He then tears open her chest, removing her heart in the process. As he opens up the heart with his hands, a new crystallized object is revealed. He places the object on its pedestal and once again, the house changes from a burnt-out husk to a newly renovated home. A new Mother forms in the bed and wakes up, wondering aloud where Him is.

Kong: Skull Island is a 2017 American monster film that is a reboot of the King Kong franchise and serves as the second film in Legendary’s franchise MonsterVerse. The film stars an ensemble cast consisting of Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, Terry Notary, and John C. Reilly. Kong follows a team of scientists and Vietnam War soldiers who travel to an uncharted island in the Pacific and encounter terrifying creatures and the mighty Kong. Principal photography took place from October 2015 to March 2016 in Hawaii and various locations around Vietnam. The first half of season 8 will probably take its time with the conflict between Rick’s Militia and the Saviors, if for no other reason but the budget. Call me a bit cynical, but it’s likely that season 8 won’t deliver a big battle sequence until the midseason finale – usually the moment The Walking Dead tends to go very big (except in the case of season 7’s midseason finale, of course.) The show has a tendency to drag out certain character arcs or events from the comics at a sometimes frustrating pace, and I don’t see that really changing much when it comes to one of the comic’s most action-packed arcs.

The miraculous evacuation of Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain, Canada and France, who were cut off and surrounded by the German army from the beaches and harbor of Dunkirk, France, between May 26th and June 4th 1940, during the Battle of France in World War II.
Dunkirk is a 2017 war film written, directed and co-produced by Christopher Nolan that depicts World War II’s Dunkirk evacuation. Its ensemble cast includes Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Barry Keoghan, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, and Tom Hardy. Dunkirk portrays the evacuation from three perspectives: land, sea and air. It has little dialogue, since Nolan sought to create suspense from cinematography and music. Filming began in May 2016 in Dunkirk and ended that September in Los Angeles, when post-production began. Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema shot the film on IMAX 65 mm and 65 mm large format film stock. Dunkirk has extensive practical effects, using thousands of extras, boats that participated in the evacuation, and period aeroplanes.

Gabriela Lopez, a former nurse for biotechnological corporation Alkali-Transigen, tries to hire Logan to escort her and an 11-year-old girl, Laura Kinney, to Eden, a refuge in North Dakota. By the time Logan reluctantly accepts, Gabriela has been killed. He is confronted at his hideout by Gabriela’s killer, Donald Pierce, Transigen’s cyborg chief of security, who is looking for Laura. Laura has stowed away in Logan’s limo, and has powers just like Logan’s. She, Logan and Charles escape Pierce and his Reavers, but Caliban is captured and tortured by Pierce into tracking Laura down.
Logan and Charles learn from Gabriela’s cellphone that Transigen created Laura and other children from mutant DNA samples to turn into weapons; Laura was created from Logan’s DNA. As they proved difficult to control and Transigen found an alternative, the children were to be killed, but Gabriela and other nurses helped some of them escape.
In Oklahoma City, Logan discovers that Eden appears in an X-Men comic in Laura’s possession, and assumes it is fictional. The Reavers arrive, but Charles has a seizure and incapacitates everyone in the vicinity, except for Logan, who kills the attackers, injects Charles with medication, and they flee. Dr. Zander Rice, head of Transigen, arrives to help Pierce.
Logan, Laura, and Charles help a farming family, the Munsons, after a traffic incident, and accept an offer of dinner at their home. Logan drives off enforcers from a neighboring corporate farm harassing the family patriarch, Will. X-24, a Transigen clone of Logan, murders Charles and Will’s family, stabs Will, and captures Laura. Caliban sets off grenades, killing himself and several Reavers and injuring Pierce. Logan fights X-24, but is outmatched. Will pins X-24 with his truck, but dies from his injuries. Logan and Laura escape with Charles’ body.
After burying Charles, Logan passes out. Laura takes him to a doctor and persuades him to take her to Eden, where they find Rictor and other Transigen children preparing to cross to Canada. Laura finds an adamantium bullet Logan has kept since his escape from Weapon X, which he once considered using to commit suicide. Logan decides his job is done and chooses not to accompany them, to Laura’s dismay.
The children are captured by the Reavers. Logan takes an overdose of a serum given to him by Rictor that temporarily strengthens his physical and healing abilities. With Laura’s help, he slaughters most of the Reavers, but the serum wears off. As Pierce holds Rictor at gunpoint, Rice tells Logan, who killed Rice’s father years ago while escaping from Weapon X, that no new mutants were born due to a Transigen virus that Rice created. Logan shoots Rice dead and attacks Pierce. X-24, enraged by Rice’s death, fights Logan. With their guards distracted, the children kill Pierce and the remaining Reavers. Rictor uses his seismic powers to flip a truck onto X-24. X-24 frees himself and impales Logan on a tree branch, but Laura shoots X-24 dead with the adamantium bullet. Before dying, Logan tells Laura not to become the weapon Transigen intended her to be, and Laura finally acknowledges him as her father. After his burial, Laura turns the cross on his grave on its side to create an X after the other children leave.
Logan premiered at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival on February 17, 2017, and was theatrically released in the United States on March 3, 2017, in standard and IMAX formats. The film received acclaim from critics and audiences; it is one of the best-reviewed films in the X-Men series and is considered by some as one of the best superhero films of all-time. It grossed over $616 million worldwide against its $97 million budget, making it the tenth highest-grossing film of 2017 and the second highest-grossing R-rated film of 2017 (after It).
